EQT Holdings Limited (ASX:EQT) today responded to the infringement notices issued by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).

The notices related to the late reporting of data for a number of superannuation funds which are serviced under the RSE licence of subsidiary, Equity Trustees Superannuation Limited (ETSL).

Equity Trustees accepts that the required reporting standards under the Financial Sector (Collection of Data) Act 2001 for the September 2023 quarter were not met and recognises the importance of accurate and timely data required by the regulator.

Importantly, no members were impacted by the late reporting of the data.

Steps were taken immediately with the fund administrator once it became clear that they were not able to meet the required deadline, with ETSL promptly informing the regulator and maintaining communication throughout on progress to address the situation.

Equity Trustees took all prudent and reasonable steps to abide by the conditions of the relevant Act. In this instance Equity Trustees sought to prioritise accurate reporting of data, rather than meeting the required time frame.

EQT Holdings Limited does not expect to incur any financial liability in respect of the infringement.

Mick O’Brien, Managing Director, has authorised that this document be given to the ASX.
